Professor Bagheri's research centres on responsible information retrieval, natural language processing, and knowledge graphs, with sustained engagement across industry, government, and civil society. A recipient of the NSERC Synergy Award for Innovation, he has founded and led interdisciplinary training initiatives on the responsible development of AI.

Dr. Chandar leads the Chandar Research Lab and is a core academic member of Mila. His research advances interactive learning algorithms capable of continual learning from experience, spanning deep learning, reinforcement learning, optimization, and natural language processing.

Dr. Cheung co-directs McGill's Reasoning and Learning Lab and is an associate scientific co-director at Mila. His research in natural language processing focuses on language generation, summarization, evaluation, and the integration of knowledge for computational semantics and commonsense reasoning.

Dr. Rhinehart leads the Learning, Embodied Autonomy, and Forecasting (LEAF) Lab and is cross-appointed to the Department of Computer Science. His research develops the algorithmic foundations of robot learning for autonomous systems, drawing on reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and information theory.

Dr. Rosella holds the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Population Health Transformation and Analytics and founded the Population Health Analytics Lab. A member of the College of the Royal Society of Canada, she applies epidemiologic methods and predictive analytics to population health and the responsible application of AI.

Dr. Shakeri directs the Health Informatics, Visualization, and Equity (HIVE) Lab. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, her research spans health data science, information visualization, precision public health, and the application of NLP and AI to improve health outcomes.
