AID4HS supports undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral trainees whose research advances agentic AI as a research collaborator in the health sciences. Trainees join a national cohort with mentorship, mobility, and cross-sector opportunity.
Opportunities are open to new and continuing students and postdoctoral fellows at the University of Toronto, McGill University, and Polytechnique Montréal whose research falls within one or more of the three thematic pillars and is embedded in an applied context — clinical, policy/regulatory, or industry/R&D.
Trainees are supported across two streams: the natural sciences and engineering, and the health sciences. Every graduate trainee is co-supervised by an interdisciplinary committee that pairs technical AI expertise with clinical or health-sciences mentorship.
Connect with an AID4HS principal investigator whose research aligns with your interests and one of the three thematic pillars.
Establish a co-supervision arrangement spanning two institutions and disciplines — the foundation of every AID4HS award.
Outline your project, its alignment to a pillar, your mobility plan, and how you will benefit from the program's training and mentorship.
The Cycle 1 call for applications is now open. PIs submit cover-sheet details and a two-page research & training plan through the online form.
